Statement from Anne Parelkar on the Role of Public Service

Overland Park, KS — Anne Parelkar, a Kansas-based attorney currently exploring a campaign for U.S. Senate, released the following statement today:

"Public service should be simple. Tell the truth. Show up. Take responsibility. That’s the job. We’ve watched too many elected officials avoid direct questions, mislead the public, and act as though accountability is optional. It isn’t.

I believe the government works best when it is held to a higher standard. Kansans deserve clarity, not confusion. They deserve representation, not theater.

As I continue this listening tour, I will stay focused on the basics: show up, listen, and be clear about what I believe."

Anne Parelkar has practiced law for more than a decade and has been involved in neighborhood leadership, legal advocacy, and civic outreach. Her exploratory campaign is focused on hearing directly from Kansans before making further decisions about a potential run for U.S. Senate.
